Verdict: Another cheesy favourite. “At just 82 calories per 16.5g bag, these crisps are certainly a good low-calorie option if you’re treating yourself to crisps," says dietitian Roxane Bakker. Wotsits are baked and not fried, which helps to keep them under 100 calories. Though their saturated fat and sugar values make these a sub-par choice. Verdict: The baked versions of Walkers crisps are far lower in fat and calories than the originals. If you're consciously counting the calories, we recommend swapping regular Walkers for their baked variety as they promise the same flavour but with better nutritional values. The clincher here is that at the time of writing, they are on sale in Tesco Ireland for a mere €5 for a bottle - normally €6.99. A little birdie told me that there are also two more offerings to be released soon in Tesco Ireland - B Fruitiful Strawberry and B Fruitiful Passionfruit - which will be only 55 calories (only 2.5 syns per glass)

How much polyunsaturated fat is in Salt and Vinegar Squares? Amount of polyunsaturated fat in Salt and Vinegar Squares: Polyunsaturated Verdict: Popchips are brilliantly low in saturated fats - a winning mark in our books! And with 95 calories per bag, they rate pretty highly in our healthy crisps round up too. Roxane says these crisps are 'popped' rather than fried which makes them a more nutritious option compared to other leading crisp brands. As soon as the popcorn is coated with butter and vinegar sprinkle the salt and the dill evenly and mix/shake to coat. Definitely not a perfect swap but try “Eat Real” (specifically the sour cream lentil curls) (2) You can also get similar supermarket own brand lentil curls As summer gets into a groove many of us feel the seasonal shift toward refreshing, fruity, fancy fizzy drinks of a Saturday evening. Typically this has us reaching for cider, wine or prosecco. Make one wrong move with our choices however, and our syns for the week are thrown off -- undoing all of the good work for the week. To put this into perspective, here are a couple of summer faves and their syn values: Haribo Balla Stixx in the Coop’s and Morrisons free from aisle (often laid down in boxes so can be difficult to spot!) Schar ‘Chocolix’ (2) Twix Chocolate Spread (3) Prewetts Chocoful Caramel (more of a digestive base but good!)

Squares– Walkers salt and vinegar squares have a may contain so no good for coeliacs. Can’t find a good alternative! Verdict: Dissecting our healthy crisps list, Hula Hoops are low in sat fats and their calorie count is passable. But it's their fat content (5.8g) which is proportionately high for a small 24g bag. They are however made with no artificial flavours or colours and contain no MSG - an added bonus. Look for supermarkets own brand “Cheese Puffs” in the normal aisle. Most are gluten free including the brands below…Loads of supermarket own brand regular crisps taste pretty similar (3) Seabrooks are a bigger brand that are also gluten free (2) If you want the real deal you need to get yourself from “Lays” from abroad – the European brand name for Walkers and comes with no may contain warning Lindt balls you can have: white & the strawberries and cream flavour. (2) If you want Milk Choc Truffle Balls: Aldi (haven’t seen these in a while but come in a red box) and M&S own. (3) Please note: Poundland used to have a version too but its now a may contain!!! How to watch Love Island Games in the UK: As the spin-off to the popular dating show lands, UK viewers need to know how to view it. Verdict: Sadly, Pringles rate the worst overall in our healthy crisps list. “A 30g serving equates to around just 13 crisps, containing nearly 10g of fat and just less than 1g of both salt and sugar," says Roxane. The dietitian adds:“Although these are identified as crisps, they actually contain 42% potato, leaving the rest up to wheat starch, sunflower oil, maize oil and rice flour." Our days of popping Pringles might very well be behind us, or at least best enjoyed on extra rare occasions. Place butter and balsamic vinegar into a deep bowl and microwave it for 30-60 seconds until the butter is melted. Whisk the butter and vinegar together and drizzle slowly all over the popcorn. I drizzled some and then mixed (shook) consistently so that it would evenly coat the mixture. If you get too much in one spot it will get chewy and shrivel.

How many calories are in Salt and Vinegar Squares? Amount of calories in Salt and Vinegar Squares: Calories Schar ‘Tempties’ (2) ‘Baci Latte Milk Fine Chocolate Truffles’ in Sainsburys and Tk Maxx (3) Ferrero Rocher Shooting Star/Squirrel shapes (4) Ferrero Rocher Bars (5) Ferrero Rocher Giants So when I got the change to take a peek at the new Party Popcorn Book from Ashton over at Something Swanky I was SUPER excited to see that she created a recipe for Salt and Vinegar Popcorn. The girl knows what’s up. Crisp fans may think they remember Walkers Cheese and Onion crisps being green, while blue was the colour of Salt and Vinegar. Once all your popcorn is ready melt some butter and whisk it with your vinegar and drizzle it all over the popcorn slowly and evenly!
