Formovie V10 adopts LED as the light source, which delivers an image with 2,500 ANSI lumens. The brightness is bright enough no matter day or night. To ensure the best viewing effect, you can lower the ambient light when watching videos during the daytime. Compared with lamp-based projectors, LED projectors have longer lamp life and have no trouble with frequent lamp replacement.

So next let’s look at the picture quality, resolution and refresh rate claims. Like 99% of 4K projectors on the market, the Formovie V10 uses a 1080p DLP chip with pixel shifting to create a 4K image by rapidly drawing 4 subpixels for each frame of video. That means that if you are watching content at 4K 60Hz each small mirror on the DLP chip needs to draw 240 pixels per second to generate the image, which I guess you could technically call 240Hz. CES®, owned and produced by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA)®, is the most influential tech event in the world — the proving ground for breakthrough technologies and global innovators. The brightness of Fengmi V10 is 2500ANSI Lumens. It is very high, so you can probably use a projector in daytime. However, the LED light source is less competitive than triple laser in terms of color performance. Image The projector is equipped with many smart image techniques, including TOF Non inductive focus, auto keystone, smart obstacle avoidance, Automatic Screen Alignment, and AI Image Quality Enhancement that can recognize the content accurately and deliver proper color rendering. The auto keystone and autofocus can free your hands without tedious manual adjustment.

As a tri-laser design with individual lasers used to create the red, green, and blue components of color images, the Theater is spec’d for 107% BT.2020 color gamut coverage, and 2,800 ANSI lumens brightness. Image size ranges from 80 to 150 inches, though for my test I used a Spectra Projection Vantage 100-inch 0.5 gain ambient and ceiling light rejecting screen. The brightness of Fengmi V10 reaches 2500ANSI lumens, and it is not only clear and bright in the state of being cast on the wall during the day, but also there is no phenomenon of graying and whitening of the picture due to the decrease of contrast. Formovie V10 has a 118% DCI-P3 wide color gamut, supports 1.07 billion colors, and the color transition is real and natural. Moving onto the input lag claims, 12ms is extremely fast and would put the Formovie V10 near the very top of the gaming projector market. But unfortunately, no matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t replicate that 12ms number. I used the industry standard Leo Bodnar lag tester in every different resolution and refresh rate combination I could think of. I put the V10 into its specific gaming mode, I turned off every advanced picture setting, and even tried different HDMI versions, ports, and cables, but the fastest input lag measurements I could get were 34.7ms at 4K60 and 34.9ms at 1080p60. 1080p 120Hz where most gaming projectors have their lowest input lag was much worse at 51ms. Don’t get me wrong, 34.7ms is not bad at all, and would be more than acceptable for most games, but it’s still almost 3 times more than the 12ms claimed by Formovie and is the most disappointing thing about the V10. Another notable product shown was the Formovie V10 which is a 4K UHD gaming projector. Due to its design and feature set, the Formovie V10 was selected as a CES 2023 Innovation Award honoree.Formovie V10 carries an MT9669 chipset, which is widely applied in high-end TVs. It also has a built-in large memory of 4G RAM and 64G ROM. The large memory ensures smooth operation and enables you to install more apps. But there’s still a lot to love about the Formovie, starting with the sound quality. The V10 has a 30 watt 2.1 channel sound system meaning separate 7.5 watt left and right speakers and a separate 15 watt subwoofer, and it is without a doubt the best sounding projector I’ve ever tested. These lifestyle projectors are meant to be able to be moved from room to room and no matter where you put the V10 you’re going to have plenty of volume and excellent sound quality, and I don’t see any reason why you would want to use a separate soundbar with this projector unless you were going to spend as much money on your sound system as you did on the projector. We have tested many projectors on our channel Tech Brothers, but I can safely say that Fengmi V10 looks the most unusual. In terms of wireless connectivity, Formovie V10 supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and various wireless screen mirroring (Airplay, Miracast, and DLNA).

For 2023, the Hisense Laser TV range is making a change from Android TV (ugh …) to Google TV. This interface upgrade will make using the projector just like navigating a regular smart TV, except in this case one with a 100- or 120-inch screen. The new ambient light rejecting screens that come with Hisense’s projectors have also been upgraded, going from negative gain to 1.0 gain for improved brightness.

Looking from the top, we can see a panel with a wood grain style, echoing the design of the projector body. There are four virtual buttons on the top panel and they will light up when the projector is turned on. You can wake up the Music Mode by gently touching the corresponding button. We remain fully committed to providing our customers with high-quality products and services and it is our hope that this extension of warranty period will provide our customers with greater peace of mind. Like the previous model, the JVC LX-NZ3 the new model supports both HDR10 and HLG (Hybrid Log Gamma) and includes horizontal and vertical lens shift for enhanced installation flexibility.
