Isabella, Izzy, is a shitty friend for telling her best friend´s cheating ex husband where to find her without telling her that she told him, and also a shitty psychologist for excusing the cheating and telling her friend "Boys will be boys. This story immediately felt different from the others I’ve read by Lucinda Riley because it’s an unsettling, tense mystery through and through.

Charlie was the school bully and repeatedly tortured the younger students, with incidents often going ignored by the rest of the school staff. Fleat House made for a brilliant mystery setting and I loved how we got to follow various POV’s throughout as they too dealt with the fallback of the first murder and everything that came later on.

Sometimes I’m in the mood for a maze type book without much bloodshed and the parameters fit perfectly here. The author entwined excellently the suspects and their connections with the past and what motive each could have with the murders! I only wish there was more, but the last chapter is a pretty good indicator as to how things will go for her. The Murders at Fleat House is a suspenseful and utterly compelling crime novel from the author of the multimillion-selling The Seven Sisters series, Lucinda Riley.

Charlie is exposed as an arrogant bully, and those around him had both motive and opportunity to switch the drugs he took daily to control his epilepsy. To think that this book was published in 2021 and is supposed to be set in 2005, it really does give of some "older vibes" with all it´s misogony, sexism and homophobia. Her books have been nominated for numerous awards, including the Italian Bancarella Prize, the Lovely Books Award in Germany, and the Romantic Novel of the Year Award. The Murders at Fleat House is a suspenseful and utterly compelling crime novel from the multi-million copy global bestseller, Lucinda Riley. My sense of trust, concern and blame shifted as the novel made its way from the beginning through to the end.

Un ragazzino viene trovato morto per aver ingerito delle aspirine a cui era allergico, sembra un atto voluto ma qualcosa stona. Her books have been translated into thirty-seven languages and sold thirty million copies worldwide. Jazz was such a great lead character and I really loved her as a detective, she was made instantly likeable because of her situation and she made for a great detective to boot. Reunited with her loyal Sergeant, Alastair Miles, she enters the closed world of the school, and as Jazz begins to probe the circumstances surrounding Charlie Cavendish’s tragic death, events are soon to take another troubling turn.

Fleat House is a small boarding school in Norfolk, England and the unexpected and tragic death of one of the school’s pupils raises serious questions.Sadly though this was not meant to be as the author Lucinda Riley passed away last year following a four year long battle with cancer. Riley, as always, had me fully engaged trying to work out who had killed Charlie, for the suspects were numerous. Many thanks to Netgalley and AuthorBuzz for the much appreciated arc which I reviewed voluntarily and honestly. The story revolves around the death of a seventeen year old bully with a female Detective Inspector easing back into the workplace after resigning earlier in the year.
