Dressed to kill, something spicy was had for dinner, or perhaps a spice cake/peach tart for dessert, the garden is in full bloom and our dear Liz is holding her liquor and has a boozy peach drink in her hand. While I have struggled liking the edt (all I smell is pepper; occasionally I will get some rose, never any peach) the parfum in the tiny little bow bottle is gorgeous.

The initial spray of this perfume you'll get a burst of powdery floral so powerful that in the 1st few second I began to doubt about it. I wouldn’t use this in the summer because of the spicy and woody base, but it feels perfect for Autumn and winter. It seems that this perfume requires heat from the body to flourish fully, and the fabric of clothes will just carry the flat sweetness of it without any development. It's a well crafted perfume but a tad bit too floral sweet for me, a gal who prefers darker spicy perfumes. For a lovely day you'd start with Violet Eyes in the morning, Diamonds and Rubies in the afternoon, White Diamonds in the early evening, and White Diamonds En Rouge as you move into the night. This is a great dupe/mix of Boucheron Jaipur(underrated and unfortunately discontinued),CK Eternity for women and a bit of Lancôme Tresor. There's something so odd about how you almost have to use a great dent in the bottle to get to this incensey, powdery rose that is as syrupy sweet as it is aged like mulled wine. The perfume will wrap itself around you and your family and friends will love getting warm hugs from you smelling of Diamonds and Rubies.

I don't feel nothing synthetic, harsh or out of place here and I'm not easy to please, especially with cheapie scents. This is more complex with the fruity, floral, spicy notes but shares that beautiful, warm, soft, almond note. I find it odd that it says on here first for main accords 'warm spicy' because for me it's predominantly floral. I quite like it and see myself using up my current bottle, it's wonderful in the winter since it has a tendency to hover and take up space in a way that not everyone would expect from a budget toilette.

Heavy from the benzoin and amber, and also replete with allspice or British Mixed Spice - keep out of reach of children!

this is my second time wearing this fragrance and looks like I've come to same conclusion on both occassions, which is. Sophia Grosjman made this fragrance and she must have loved roses orchids and heliotrope because I also smelled it on her Sun Moon Stars for Karl Lagerfield. I would limit this to fall/winter/maybe early spring when there is still a bit of a chill to the air. This baby puts me in mind of a sweetened Kenzo's Jungle L'Elephant, another sultry, long lasting beauty. White Diamonds (1991) is Liz Taylor dressed from head to toe in diamond jewelry, earrings, bracelets, and necklaces, her voluptuous figure draped in a white sequin robe as she walks up to a platform to receive an Oscar or Achievement Award. I think almond is not my favorite perfumery note though, because for whatever reason to my nose it feels incomplete and rather on the synthetic side. I have to add that I don’t often get compliments on my perfume these days, mainly because fragrances are weaker and have little or no sillage because of scent stabilizers being reduced in the past few years . Became an arm's length sweet powdered rose with one spray on the back of my hand within a couple of hours.
